Migration Issues at the Bosnian-Croatian Border

During a fact finding mission at the Bosnian-Croatian border I was asked by the national TV news to share my impressions about the situation in general and the situation of pushed back migrants. 

For those who do not speak “our language”: I said that the problem of irregular migration cannot be resolved at the borders of the EU because it starts in the countries of origin. Moreover, beating up migrants and taking all their possessions definitely is not acceptable border management.
