Successful Premiere at the Ärztetage in Grado

In early June, Brigit Hochreiter and I held our seminar Patient Conversations and Cultural Boundaries at the Ärztetage in Grado for the first time.

The seminar teaches in a practical way how intercultural misunderstandings arise in healthcare, what effects they have on communication between patients and medical staff, and how they can be avoided.

Successful communication forms the foundation of trust, a precise diagnosis and successful treatment. This is why intercultural competence is becoming increasingly important in everyday medical practice.

Owing to the positive response, further seminars in Austria’s federal states will be offered over the course of this year.
